I started Canine Defined after noticing a lack of science based dog training services in my community. It is so important to approach each dog as an individual and consider each family's specific needs. There is no one size fits all training method, this is why our first priority is to suit the needs of the individual first using humane training methodology.
I am constantly in pursuit of new information and innovative ways to train dogs and teach humans. My undergraduate degree is a B.S. in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. I have also earned a Master of Science in Human and Canine Life Sciences from Bergin College of Canine Studies. I hold a Veterinary Assisting Certificate through Auburn University. I have also obtained certification as an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, and I am recognized as a Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA) by the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers.
